The Connor Johnson Memorial Ironman Tournament

The Ironman is a 3 on 3 plus goalie full ice hockey tournament to support the Connor Johnson Foundation's mission to educate teens on the importance of driving without distractions.  Each team will be allowed to register 10 (includes the goalie) players.  Teams must register on our website, scroll down for registration form.  Bring the whole family and enjoy a fun filled day of hockey, auction fundraisers, prizes, and more!

Instructions

Locker Rooms open at 7:00 am.

Orientation in the stands at 7:30 am.

Players with “Bye” will get to experience texting simulators, crash car, and DUI Mobil Unit – raffle tickets distributed upon completion of an activity.

There will be a break for lunch during which all players will attend a presentation.   Player drawing at conclusion of presentation.

Award ceremony and prizes at the conclusion of the championship game.

Game Rules

1. Team must have both dark and light jerseys. Dark/home Light/Away
2. Start time is 8:00 am.
3. Must be ready to go on ice 10 minutes prior to scheduled game time.
4. Each game will consist of 15 minutes straight time (running clock) with 3 minute warm-up.
5. Puck out of play will continue play.
6. There is no body checking- this will be strictly enforced. Contact but no Checking
7. Fighting = Suspension
8. Penalties for explicit language.
9. Players ejected from 1 game may return to play in later games, players ejected from 2 games will be barred from participating in the rest of the event.
10. Following goals or saves, team must clear to top of the circle offensive zone and only after all 4 have cleared may they reenter. Whistle will indicate goal / save. On a save instance, goaltender can play puck or give to teammate right after whistle is blown.
11. Goal tenders are not to be hacked at etc., if puck is under goalie or saved, even if whistle has not blown.
12. Minor penalties will result in a penalty shot. The non-penalized team will choose shooter who will start from the blue line. The remaining players will start from center line and chase the player with the puck once the whistle blows. Puck is live if shooter does not score. If saved, offensive team must clear zone.
13. There is no off-sides.
14. There is no icing.
15. Substitutes for injuries is allowed.
16. Remember, this is for fun, and education, so we don’t want to see any abuse of players, officials etc. We reserve the right to suspend any player from further play, if they do not abide by the essence of fair play.
17. Win = 3 pts; Tie = 1 pt; Tie will be broken by total number of goals scored.
18. Top 4 teams will make it to the playoffs. Playoff is single elimination.

Team Registration:  Register your team using the form below, payment will be required following registration submission.

Payment: $500 Per Team ($50/person), payment to be made through PayPal at the end of the registration process.   Teams may pay together online following registration or players may pay individually the day of the event.
